about Evelyne
For Swiss-Canadian sculptor Evelyne Brader-Frank, sculpture is a dialogue between material and intuition. Every work begins with a search—not for a figure, but for a feeling. Through carving, refining and reducing, she gradually reveals the form already hidden within the stone, bronze or steel.
Over more than three decades, she has developed a distinctive sculptural language defined by flowing curves, harmonious proportions and the pursuit of simplicity. By removing everything that is unnecessary, she allows movement, emotion and balance to emerge. Every line has a purpose. Every surface invites light to become part of the sculpture.
Each material offers its own voice. Stone radiates warmth and permanence. Bronze captures subtle nuances and timeless elegance. Polished stainless steel reflects its surroundings, drawing the viewer into the work and making every encounter unique. As the environment changes, so does the sculpture.
Nature, the human body and the rhythm of life remain her greatest sources of inspiration. Rather than portraying individuals, her sculptures express universal emotions—strength and vulnerability, stillness and movement, presence and grace. They are invitations to pause, reflect and discover something personal.
Today, Evelyne Brader-Frank's sculptures are exhibited internationally and represented by leading galleries worldwide. Her works are held in private and public collections across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. She lives and works near Zurich, Switzerland.
"I have always believed that simplicity is the highest form of expression. Every sculpture begins with a block of stone, a cast of bronze or a sheet of steel—but it ends with an emotion. If my work invites someone to pause, to breathe and to feel, then the sculpture has found its purpose."
